Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the ByteScaped platform. By requesting a quote or accepting a job, you agree to them.

1. What ByteScaped Is

ByteScaped is a marketplace. We connect homeowners with independent lawn-care providers. We are not the service provider, we do not employ the providers, and the work itself is performed under a direct agreement between you and the provider you select.

2. Quotes

Quotes are generated from public Mecklenburg County parcel records: lot area less measured impervious surfaces. Where the County data is missing, internally inconsistent, or describes a shared parcel, we withhold the quote rather than issue one we cannot stand behind.

3. Booking and Payment

Accepting a quote authorises payment through Stripe. ByteScaped charges the provider a platform commission of 6% of the quoted price, capped at $15 per transaction. The customer pays the quoted price and no more.

4. Cancellation

A booking may be cancelled without charge until a provider is dispatched. After dispatch, cancellation terms are set by the provider and shown before you confirm.

5. Provider Obligations

Providers warrant that they hold current liability insurance, that the documents they upload are genuine, and that they are legally entitled to operate in North Carolina. Providing false compliance documents terminates the account.

6. SMS Messaging

By opting in you agree to receive transactional SMS about your quotes and jobs. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help. Opting out of SMS does not close your account, but job offers are dispatched by SMS and you may stop receiving them.

7. Limitation of Liability

ByteScaped is not liable for the quality, timeliness, or safety of work performed by a provider. Our liability in connection with the platform is limited to the commission we received on the transaction in question.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email before they take effect.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina.
