ByteScaped operates an online marketplace connecting homeowners in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina with independent lawn-care providers. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we never do with it.

1. Information We Collect

From customers: the property address you enter, your name, email address, and mobile phone number, and payment details handled entirely by our payment processor. From providers: business name, tax identification, insurance documents, service pricing, and contact details.

2. How We Use It

Your property address is used to retrieve public parcel records from Mecklenburg County GIS in order to calculate a mowable area and generate a quote. Your mobile number is used to send job offers, booking confirmations, and service updates by SMS. Your email is used for receipts and account notices.

3. Mobile Information and SMS Consent

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared, sold, or rented to any third parties or affiliates.

SMS consent is collected separately from any other agreement and is never a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies by activity on your account. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel at any time, or HELP for assistance.

4. Payment Information

We do not store card numbers or bank routing details. All payment data is collected and held by Stripe through their hosted interface and never reaches our servers.

5. Public Records

Parcel boundaries, lot area, and impervious-surface measurements come from Mecklenburg County public GIS systems. That data is already public record; we read it and do not alter or republish it beyond showing you your own property.

6. Data Retention and Security

Account and job records are retained while your account is active and for as long as tax and dispute-resolution obligations require. Credentials are held in Google Secret Manager, data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is limited to the systems that need it.

7. Your Rights

You may request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to records we are required to keep. Write to the address below and we will respond within 30 days.
